Health and Wellness Department

In our Health and Wellness Department, we focus on promoting balanced lifestyles by educating youth about the importance of fitness and nutrition. Through our programs, we tackle childhood obesity by fostering responsible decision-making, from managing sugar intake to staying active daily.

Our Future Connects Department is tailored to preparing adolescents for success in their future endeavors, particularly in professional and academic spheres. Programs may include career exploration, resume building, interview skills. college application assistance, and financial literacy. By focusing on college application assistance, and professionalism, we are equipping adolescents with the skills and confidence needed to pursue their aspirations.

In our Juvenile Justice Department, we advocate for awareness and empowerment in the face of delinquent issues affecting our youth. Our mission is clear: to ensure that juveniles have the equal opportunities they deserve by addressing the challenges they encounter daily.

At Guiding Stars, we prioritize education, self-respect, individualism, and healthy living for our stars. This includes promoting a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle and discouraging activities that hinder their success. We believe in equipping our youth with the social and life skills necessary to become overachievers in society.

Dear Friends,

As the CEO of Guiding Stars, I am deeply committed to combating the pressing issue of gun violence in our beloved city of Philadelphia. Every day, families and communities are affected by this epidemic, and it is our responsibility to take action and create positive change.

In response to this urgent need, we are launching new programs aimed at supporting households living in poverty. We recognize that poverty is often intertwined with issues such as lack of access to education, employment opportunities, and resources, which can contribute to the cycle of violence.

Through these new initiatives, we will provide essential support and resources to families in need, including access to education and job training, financial assistance, mental health services, and more. By addressing the root causes of poverty and providing holistic support, we aim to empower individuals and families to break free from the cycle of violence and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
